Happy Birthday!

So here it goes... It all started on Friday, the 5th. We had a dr. appt. and found out that I was dialated to a three and 90% effaced so the dr said he would enduce me on monday. So we got to the hospital at 8:30 am and they started me on pitocin around 9:30. I was doing pretty good until my water broke and then it started to get realy painful. So i asked for the epidural and about an hour later (it felt much longer) the anesthesiologist came in and I was super nervous but it was a piece of cake! Then the Dr. came in and checked me and I was at a 5 and he noticed that the baby was posterior so he had me lay completely on one side and then switch sides every 30 min to try to get her to turn over. After a few hours of that I noticed that my bed was really wet on one side and we found a cord unplugged. So we paged the nurse and she came in and it was my epidural iv that was supposed to be dripping the numbing fluid into my body. I could then feel my toes and legs and started feeling contractions. I started freaking out because the nurse also said I was dilated to a 9 and we were going to start pushing soon. So they plugged it back in and I pushed the button like 3 times and it kicked in and I didn't feel a thing, thank goodness! Then after 2 hours of pushing our little baby girl was born. I have never been so tired in my entire life! The hospital stay was ok, but it feels so much better to be home and start learning how to be a Mom. It is amazing to me how much you love this little thing so much and so fast. You would do anything for them no matter how tired and how stressed out you are. She is so amazing and I am so in love with her. She has been doing really well. We took her to the pediatrician the other day to double check her jaundice levels and she doesn't have it so that is good but they had to prick her little heel to get a blood sample and it was the worst thing ever. She screamed and I bawled! But she is almost back to her birth weight so that is good, she is so chubby! We are all doing really well and everybody has been so helpful! Here are some pics, sorry they are in a weird order but I dont feel like fixing it!

In her swing, she doesn't really like it though.

Going home from the hospital

Right after she was born

Thats my chubby girl!

Meeting Mom!

She already has Jeff wrapped around her little finger. He has been so amazing with her and so helpful. He had to go back to work yesterday and it was tough but we made it through. He is the only one who can swaddle her like she likes it! Mommy needs to learn how to do it like him!

Our little Valentine! Best Valentines day present ever!

Hazyl Mae Franco

She is here! Sorry it has taken so long to get this on here but we have been a little busy. Hazyl was born on Monday, February 8th, 2010 at 6:08pm. She weighs 8lbs and 1oz and is 18 inches long. She is chubby and short! She has lots of hair but it is not as dark as we thought it would be. This is probably the hardest thing I have ever done but definitely so worth it. We are so happy to be home with our little girl. Things are busy so that is all I am going to post for now but I will post again with the whole story and more pics but for now here is our cute little fam...

(thanks for the pics Brooke, you are amazing!)
