Disneyland 2011

We just got home from a much needed trip to California. It was so much fun and I am dying to go back! We had a whole week as a family and it was the best! We left on a Sunday and drove to Vegas. We wanted to break up the drive so it would be a little easier for hazy. She did pretty well but she is so over the car right now. Vegas was ok. It is actually not very kid friendly and a little scary with a baby so I was happy to get on the road to cali. I have a sister who live in Riverside so we stopped to see them on Monday. We just hung out and went to the park and played with the kids.

Hazy is such a water baby! She was dying to play with the water!

One of her favorite things to do is swing! The whole time we are swinging she says "sing, sing".
We then headed to Disneyland! We spend 4 days at the park and it was a BLAST! It was hard at times with but overall I think she enjoyed it. Her favorites were the carousel, which we went on over and over and over again. And she loved Dumbo and the tea cups just like her mommy!
Hazy and Mom on the tea cups! These are my favorite and Jeff hates them so he just took pics while the girls had some fun!
Hazy and daddy on the Carousel, finally got a smile!
She did not want to get off!
Cute Daddy!
She was so worn out as we were waiting in line for Pirates (which she liked actually!) I love this pic!
Getting back in the stroller after a ride was a constant battle! We tried to let her walk as much as we could but it was so busy and she would get trampled. Next time I will be tacky and get her a leash!

Jeff LOVES Disneyland. He couldnt stop talking it about the trip for months. Club 33 is an elite club for people who pay thousands and thousands of dollars to be apart of and you get cool stuff and have access to this room. Jeff is dying to be apart of it! The door is in the New Orleans part of disney!
This was probably the highlight of the trip! Hazy is in love with dogs which I think is weird cause we dont have one and we most likely will never have one. Anyways we ran into Pluto while we were there and she was in heaven! We didn't wait to see all the other characters, the lines were too long. I think we will do that when she is a bit older.

She leaned down and gave him kisses without us having to say anything! She is the cutest thing ever!

We found this fountain over in california adventure and she loved it! It was nice for her to get out and run around.

We stayed in the Sheraton Hotel and it was great! It was only about a 10 minute walk to disney and the room and staff were great. Occasionally we could hear our neighbors but it wasn't too bad. And we had a perfect view of the fireworks every night, if we weren't at the park. Our cute housekeepers would do this every night.
On Friday we headed to Newport Beach and it was to die for. We didn't stay too long but it was still a blast. Hazy was in heaven with the sand as you can see from the close up of her hair.

Then last but certainly not least one of my nephews got baptized on Saturday. That is the main reason why we decided to come. Ira is such a sweet kid and it was so nice to be there for his big day!

Ira with his Mom and Dad (my sister!)
After lunch and a little shopping with the fam after the baptism we headed back to vegas. But when we got there we decided to keep on going. Our neice was getting blessed the next day and Jeff really wanted to be there. It was a long drive but the baby slept most of the way. We didnt get home until 5:00 am but it was nice to sleep in our own bed.

It was such a great trip and I am so surprised at how well Hazy did. She is such a sweetie and I cant wait to take her back!

Happy Birthday Hazyl Mae!

My little baby is 1! I know everybody says that they can't believe it went so fast but it is totally true. It feels like yesterday that I was pregnant with her. She is the light of our lives and has been the biggest blessing. I could go on and on about how much I love her but that would take too long so I will get on with it. First of all we had her 12 month check up today and here are her stats...

Weight: 20 lbs 3 oz - 40%
Height: 30.8 inches - 95%
Head: 17.6 inches - 40%

She is SO tall! I am not sure where she gets it cause I am not super tall and we all know that Jeff is not tall ;). She is not walking yet but is super close. She took 5 steps today but is pretty cautious about it still. She has 8 teeth, 4 on top and 4 on bottom but the Dr said her molars are close :(. Teething is the worst! She jibber jabbers all day long and everything is "da da". She used to say "mama" too but now it is all "da da". She also says "wasat" (what's that?) as she points to things all day long. And her other favorite word is "bee" for her binky. Every time she finds her binky or drops it or wants it she will look at me and say "bee". She is a great eater and loves pretty much anything we give her but her favorites are string cheese, bananas, and mac n' cheese. She is probably the funniest little thing you have ever seen (at least we think so but I am sure you all feel that way about your little ones!) She makes the funniest faces like the one in the pic above. And she has the cutest little high pitched laugh, I could listen to it all day long! This is my favorite age thus far because she is so active and understand what you are doing and saying. She really is the best! Anyways... Her birthday is the 8th but we had a party for her the Friday before. Both our families came over and we had a Candy themed party. It was so much fun!

Here are her invitations. They are supposed to be like Lollipops.
The Candy Buffet. (sorry all of the below pics look like they are tinted pink. I was playing with my camera a couple of days before and didn't change it back to normal!)
Her cake that was supposed to look like a giant cupcake but fell apart so I am not sure what it looks like! But it tasted good...
The cupcakes

Decorations
I found these on a blog and thought they were so cute. They are just a chinese lantern wrapped in cellophane too look like a candy.
Front door sign. It says "Hazyl's Sweet Shop" but it is hard to read from the flash.

Hazy opening presents with Dad. She got so much fun stuff!

Wanting to be done opening presents!
Singing Happy Birthday!
Eating her cake.
She didn't love her hands being so messy.

Wanting to be done!

Hazy and Grandma Carter
Hazy and Grandma Franco
I just put this pic in cause I love her smile! She loved hitting the lanterns!
The party was so fun and we are so grateful to our friends and family who came. We have so much candy left over and I am not sure what to do with it! I really hope this year will slow down a little bit so I can soak up the time with my little girl but I am sure it wont. She really is everything to Jeff and I. Before we go to bed we always find ourselves talking about all the funny and cute things that she did that day. We love you Hazyl Mae and cant wait to see what this new year of your life will bring!

Hazys First Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year. It was especially fun cause it was our first Christmas with Hazyl. She had so much fun even though she really didn't understand. We started on Christmas Eve at the Franco's. Hazy loves their dog Brownie. She kept her entertained the whole time...

Notice her cute piggy tails! Her hair is getting so long!
She loves sitting in this rocking chair in grandma and grandpa's basement. Such a big girl!
Opening presents!

Next we went to my families house. We ate dinner and then my Dad reads a Christmas story to all of us. It was such a cute story this year and it is my favorite tradition.
Opening presents!
Hazy got her first baby doll and she loves it!
Christmas morning we spent at our home. This is the very first Christmas that I can remember that I have not woken up early. But I was not about to wake up the baby! So I waited patiently till about 8 when she woke up.

Coming downstairs to see what Santa brought!
Her favorite thing I think was the side of this box. It had a babies face on it and she was so excited with it.

Opening her stocking...
Santa brought new binkies and she couldnt wait to get it in her mouth.
We had a great Christmas but I am kinda glad it is over. It was very busy which makes for a tired and grouchy baby! We are happy that 2011 is here and cant wait to see what it will bring!
